Obituary

Almanis Hamilton "Al" Herndon, III, 40, of Knoxville, TN passed away on April 1, 2023.  A native of Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Almanis Hamilton Herndon, Jr. and Elizabeth Rhoda Tillotson Herndon. 

Almanis was a 2000 graduate of Spartanburg High School. He worked in the food service industry as a cook and was currently employed with O ’Charley’s.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include two sons, Almanis Herndon, IV and Elijah Herndon; one daughter, Alanna Herndon; one sister, Aileen Edugyan; nieces, Cheilon (Tony) Whiteside, Brittney Rogers, and Breonna Rogers; nephew, Demetrius (Eddie Mae) Walker; and a host of other nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC
