Aldous Leonard Copeland

Aldous Leonard Copeland, 60, of 131 Fernridge Drive, Spartanburg, SC  passed away Monday afternoon, August 26, 2019 at his residence.  A native of Tryon, NC, he was the husband of Deborah Whiteside Copeland of the home and the son of the late Leonard Copeland and Juanita Fant Copeland. He was A US Army veteran and a member of the SC Army National Guard. He attained the rank of Sergeant. He was employed with the SC Department of Corrections. He was a 1979 graduate of Spartanburg High School.  Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter, April Danielle Jones of the home; one granddaughter, Gabrielle Aliese Wilson reared in the home; one brother, Kenneth Eugene Fant of Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Sheila D. Copeland of Spartanburg, SC, Sheryl A. Copeland Martin of Atlanta, GA, Rosa A. (Lenell, III) White of Atlanta, GA; and Alisa R. Copeland of Spartanburg, SC; and a host uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Hope Church - Spartanburg. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
