Adell Smith Beaty, 72, of 142 Sedgefield Drive, Union, SC passed away Thursday evening, September 10, 2020 at her residence. A native of Union, County, SC, she was the widow of Benjamin Beaty, Sr. and daughter of the late Rachel Mae Smith Goode. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where served on the Culinary Committee and sang on the Adult Choir. She attended the public schools of Union County. She was retired from Conso Products. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by twin sons, Jerry Beaty and Terry Beaty; one brother, Johnnie Goode and one sister, Dorothy Harris. She is survived by three sons, Benjamin Franklin Beaty, Jr. of the home, SC, Jerome “Kojack” (Letricia) Beatty of Union, SC, and Kelvin (Candi) Beatty of Boiling Springs, SC; two daughters, Bobbie Jean (Lawrence) Henderson and Jacqueline Lois Beaty both of Union, SC; one granddaughter reared in the home, Terrez Henderson and seven additional grandchildren, Minister Brittany (Lontay) Gist-Brannon, Willie Beaty, Jeremy Beaty, Jamarcus Henderson, Vensha Beatty, Alexis Beatty, and Latavia Gist; nine great-grandchildren, Sha'niyah, Kaitlynn, London, Ryan, Kingston, Jakamron, Kasten, Alivia, and Kamren; one brother, Vernon Smith of Jonesville, SC; sisters-in-law, Mae Frances Gist and Carol Dean Beatty both of Union, SC, Minnie Ruth Norman of Baltimore, MD, and Levonne Goode of Jonesville, SC; a special niece, Tammy Smith and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her granddaughter, Terrez Henderson, 135 Timberlake Road, Union, SC. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
