Roland Lindsay, 62, of 717 West Main Street, Union, SC passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Manhattan, NY, he was the husband of Mary Foster Lindsay and the son of Elwillie Young Lindsay and the late Christopher Columbus Lindsay, Sr. He was a former employee of Alfa Indesco. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Lindsay, Jr. Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include four sons, Frederick Floyd of Pacolet, SC, Centell Sims of Spartanburg, SC, Jermel Foster of Forest City, NC, and Roland R. Foster of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Tyeshia Foster and Ladrina Foster both of the home; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, W. S. (Patricia) Young of Spartanburg and Hamilton Charles Lindsay of Union, SC; six sisters, Delgrasure Floyd, Christine (Ronnie) Smith, Marrie (Donnie) Fowler, Judy Lindsay, Dorothy (William) Thompson, and Iriner (Sammy) Palmer all of Union, SC; a special family friend, Abraham Glenn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at 119 Imperial Drive, Union, SC. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
