Malachi "Cow" McBeth, Sr.

Malachi “Cow” McBeth, Sr., 58, of 5214 Cross Keys Highway, Enoree, SC passed Thursday afternoon, September 26, 2019 in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.  A native of Union County, SC, he was the husband of Chestina Martin McBeth of Humble, TX and the son of Medora Glenn McBeth and the late Robert McBeth, Sr.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sons, Malachi McBeth, Jr. and Brian Martin and two brothers, Samuel McBeth and Matthew "Matt" McBeth.  He was a graduate of Union High School, a US Army veteran, and a former employee of National Starch and Chemical Company.  Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include two sons, Micah McBeth of Humble, TX and Shaquille McCollough of Ware Shoals, SC; one daughter, Shapaula Westfield of Spartanburg, SC; one stepdaughter, Nakia Westfield Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Robert McBeth, Jr. of the home and Rick (Diane) Norman of Cross Keys, SC; five sisters, Bernetta (James) Smiley of Laurens, SC, Vivian (Paul) Henry of Hawthorne, NJ,  Janice Dawkins of Enoree, SC, and Delois Kelly and Janie Mae (James) Dial both of  Cross Keys, SC; special friend, Philimela Westfield; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cross Keys with burial in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the home.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
