Ivan Raydell Padgett

Ivan Raydell Padgett, 56, of 275 New Cut Road, Spartanburg, SC passed Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.  A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the husband of Erika Nesbitt Padgett of the home and the son of Lillie Pearl Padgett (Bill) Jackson of Spartanburg, SC and the late Charles Edward Young.  He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and earned associate degree from Spartanburg Technical College. He attended Macedonia Baptist Church and was a roofer by trade.   Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include three daughters, Ivonica Swinson of Columbus, OH, Keiyana Landrum of Spartanburg, SC, and Idreona Padgett of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren; one brother, William Jackson of Spartanburg, SC; five sisters, Katrina Jackson of Spartanburg, SC, Yvette Young of Spartanburg, SC, Annette Williams of Spartanburg, SC, Chanda Young of Atlanta, GA, and Sylvia Young of Germany; his godparents, James and Brenda Morman of Spartanburg, SC; god daughter, Serenity Dawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including a lifelong friend, James Smith of Spartanburg, SC.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in Heritage Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at 420 Parkdale Drive, Spartanburg, SC.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
