Gladys (Virch) Otero

Gladys Virch Otero, 82, of 449 Candleglow Drive, Boiling Springs, SC passed away Saturday night, December 7, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on November 13, 1937 in San Turce, Puerto Rico.  She was the wife of Juan Otero of the home and the daughter of the late Ernesto Virch and Merida Pena.  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gladys Josephine Otero.  Survivors in addition to her husband include three sons, Juan Otero and wife Cathy of Toms Rivers, NJ, Carlos Otero and wife Sandy of Levittown, Puerto Rico , and Frankie Otero of Montclair, VA; four daughters, Carmen Otero of Paterson, NJ, Nancy Otero-Rivadeneiro and husband Carlos of Boiling Springs, SC, Frances Otero-Copper and husband Steven of Paterson, NJ, and Evelyn Otero of Boiling Springs, SC; thirteen grandchildren; and one sister, Dolores Jimenez of FL.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
