Dwight "Brick" Worthy, 67, of 19 Junction Court, Greenville, SC passed away Saturday morning, October 19, 2019 in McCall Hospice House of Greenville. A native of Blair, in Fairfield County, SC he was the husband of Connie Jeter Worthy of the home and son of James 'Skin' Broome and Arleatha Worthy. He attended the public schools of Fairfield County and was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. He was retired from the trucking industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, SPC Zandra "Nicey" Worthy-Walker and Katrina Worthy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Charlita Worthy and Amber Worthy of Greenville, SC and Yolanda Worthy of Fountain Inn, SC; five grandchildren he treasured: D'Kari Worthy, Kaliyah Worthy, Kiara Hendrix, Christina Hendrix and Trinity Marshall; brothers, James 'Nick' (Josie) Worthy and Herman Worthy of Columbia, SC, Howard Worthy of Fort Mill, SC, Ralph (Mildred) Conley, Sr. of Hickory, NC, Cedric Broome, Curtis (Tanya) Broome, and Baron Broome all of Columbus, GA, Kenneth Broome, and Claude 'Mike' (Belindra) Broome of Winnsboro, SC; sisters, Patricia Broome and Becky 'Missy' (Keith) Wilson of Green Cove Springs, FL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1pm at Shady Oak Baptist Church, 1117 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC. Burial will follow in the Mount Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, 8375 Lockhart Highway, Sharon, SC on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
